NEW Cannondale SuperSix EVO Gen. 5

Sandy MACK |

Faster Everywhere. Stunning at every angle. The legend and the legacy of Cannondale's SuperSix EVO. Always has. Always will be. SuperSix blend of efficient aerodynamics, feathery weight, and telepathic handling enabled the fourth gen EVO to win World Championships, Tour leader’s jerseys, KOM Polka Dots, Paris-Roubaix, and Paris Gold, to more town-line sprints and local hero bragging rights than you can count. NEW, 5th generation of SuperSix EVO, Cannondale's mission was clear... keep unmatched speed and handling while shaving weight everywhere possible. The results are stunning. New SuperSix is the lightest disc frame and fork Cannondale has ever made. Combined with even less aerodynamic drag, in a package that looks as fast standing still as it does crossing the finish line. Cannondale even created a few SL variants for true weight-weenies. Setups so light, the UCI wouldn’t approve. All in all, the fastest bike anywhere just got faster everywhere. The legend of Cannondale SuperSix EVO continues.Bring Light To The Fight. Every detail of the new Cannondale SuperSix EVO’s frame and fork is finessed for lightness, for the climbers, the obsessives, the ones who lead their group up the mountain, not their bike. Turn effort into altitude and pull a KO in every KOM.

Handle It All. Cannondale's SuperSix EVO’s geometry stirs nimble handling and rock-solid stability into one seamless recipe, balancing cornering and speed perfectly. The special sauce that makes every ride feel effortless and fully in control.

Too Smooth To Catch. Gliding through the air is what SuperSix EVO is built for. Aero-optimized tubes, refined through CFD and wind tunnel testing, deliver real-world drag reduction... the ultimate tool for breakaway artists ready to push harder.

Great Power. Great Responsibility. SuperSix EVO takes power transfer and rider size seriously. Every tube shape and carbon lay-up is engineered frame size-specific. This achieves optimal stiffness and maximum efficiency to blow the pack apart and keep you firing to the finish, whether you are 5'1" or 6'5".

SystemBar. Cannondale is offering TWO new cockpits for the SuperSix EVO bring pro-level performance to your ride.

New Cannondale SuperSix Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question – What are the main differences and improvements from SuperSix Evo Gen. 4 to Gen. 5?
Answer – Gen. 4 EVO set a crazy high bar, with aero efficiency that bested many pure aero bikes, and weight and handling that put it at the forefront of the road race category. Gen. 5 takes that advanced starting point and improves everything about it, making it lighter, faster, and racier than ever. Frame and fork weight has been reduced across the board for all three layups which, when combined with the new, lighter Systembars, and focused specs, yields lighter-than-ever complete bike weights. The geometry features a 10mm lower stack height for an even more race-focused fit. And those gains have been realized while maintaining (actually even slightly improving) the slippery aero efficiency of the Gen 4. The lineup introduces the updated aero-focused SystemBar Road cockpit as well as the new ultralight SystemBar Road SL lightweight cockpit. Frames are now designed for electronic shifting only. Premium models (LAB71 and Hi-Mod) receive titanium seatpost hardware, and the seatpost itself has been refined with a barrel nut adjustment for easier setup. Finally, SLspec variants are added to deliver the lightest complete bikes across the range.
Question – What is the largest tire I can run on the new Cannondale SuperSix EVO (Gen. 5)?
Answer – New Gen. 5 SuperSix EVO is compatible with a maximum measured tire width up to 32mm provided that at least 4mm of clearance exists between the tire and the frame and fork, or any drivetrain components when the wheel is rotated to any position. Verify that tire width and frame clearance is measured with the tire inflated to the lower of the maximum inflation values recommended on the rim and on the tire.
Question - What is the maximum rotor dimension?
Answer - Rear: min. 140mm, max. 160mm / Front: min. 140mm, max.160mm
Question – What kind of axles are compatible with SuperSix EVO?
Answer – Rear: Syntace TA 142x12mm, 163mm Overall Length / Front: Syntace TA 100x12mm, 125mm Overall Length
Question – What are the dimensions for the bottom bracket and headset?
Answer – Bottom Bracket 68mm BSA / Headset: Integrated IS247-CO1A, Top: 1.125”, Bottom: 1.25”
Question – Is it possible to remove the front derailleur mount for a 1x setup?
Answer – No, the front derailleur mount is riveted to the seat tube. For a 1x setup, we recommend installing a chain guide.
Question - What is the maximum system weight?
Answer – The total weight limit for the SuperSix EVO is 150kg/330lbs, which includes the combined weight of the rider, bike, and all equipment.
Question – What is the cable routing compatibility on SuperSix EVO?
Answer – The SuperSix EVO´s Delta Steerer system is engineered to integrate effortlessly with our SystemBars and Conceal stem, enabling cables to route cleanly from the handlebar into the frame. To simplify things for riders with multiple Cannondales, the Synapse uses the same dust cover and headset spacers as the SuperSix EVO, making it easy to find small parts. And should you ever want to run something other than the SystemBar or Conceal stem, Delta Steerer is compatible with most standard 1-1/8” stems – you just need a different dust-cover, spacers, and top cap (see Tech Book for part numbers and compatibility.) This 5th generation of SuperSix EVO is for electric shifting only.
Question – What seatpost options are available for SuperSix EVO?
Answer –  Cannondale offers SuperSix EVO-compatible seatposts with both 15mm and 0mm offsets. Frame sizes 44-54cm come with 0mm offset seatposts while sizes 56-61 are shipped with the 15mm offset version. Gen. 5 and Gen. 4 seatposts are different, but interchangeable.
Question – Is SuperSix EVO Gen. 5 compatible with SmartSense like the previous generation?
Answer – No, Cannondale focused on pure racing performance, so SmartSense for road is limited to Synapse.
