- How do you maintain an ebike battery? Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:
- Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
- Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
- Avoid overcharging your ebike.
- Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
- Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
- Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
- Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

- What maintenance does an electric bike need? Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
- Can I make an ebike a class 1 to ride on trails? Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle and can only reach a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike and ensuring the max speed limit is set to 20mph, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
- Do you sell an ebike conversion kit for this model? Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
- Why do you no longer make cadence sensor ebikes? The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.
